Professionalism is crucial for background actors. It is essential for them to arrive punctually at the designated location, dressed appropriately, along with having options of other outfits for the costume department to choose from.
While being a Background Actor in movies and TV shows can be an enjoyable experience, it is important to recognize that it is also a professional work environment.
When on set, background actors must adhere to instructions and remain attentive. If you need to leave the holding area or set, you should inform one of the assistant directors or a production assistant. Once an extra/background actor has accepted a role, it is expected that they will be present at the call time and available until the day's filming is completed.
